Still waiting for the laptop to arrive.....must be on a slow sailboat to New Zealand.
It's been a month since our arrival, and winter began June 1. The temperature is in the 60's inside and out. Don't want to hear how you have your air conditioners set to that temp. So like you energy- hog Americans. The humidity is high -- inside and out -- so we're still relatively comfortable. Of course, I've always loudly proclaimed that the one modern convenience that I absolutely could not do without is a garbage disposal. Not here. Everybody has a compost pile in the garden. And clothes drying on the line --- outside and in. And with the high humidity it's difficult to tell whether the clothes are ever really dry. On the plus side, there are people who pump your petrol for you. Still costs $60 to fill the tank. Some things are the same worldwide. Well, we're on our way down to the beach to look for that boat.

your pics and descriptions sound like you are having a great time in paradise. but what a price to pay with all your blood going to your head standing down under! I suspect that you are spoiling Sam like any good grandparent. It is so wonderful to be so close.
we were out to visit andy and melissa for tatum's christening. had a wonderful time seeing everyone. ceremony was held at wayfarer's chapel overlooking the ocean and andy wore his kilt which we had given him for his birthday. tatum is growing and at 41/2 months she is smiling and squealing. melissa's parents were there too so we had to share.
Leslie's mother is improving but still has a way to go. has been confused at times. not sure why.
you should root for a winner for the NBA finals rather than that team from "W"'s state. Lebron has been crowned heir apparent for michael jordan's crown and cleveland seems destined to end their sports team drought for the title. after seeing them dismantle and humiliate that team from detroit san antonio will be fortunate to get out a remnant of pride.
